American Pharaoh should have won the Sports Illustrated Sports person of the Year not Serena Williams?

You know why it didn’t win? Because the award was for human not horse! Anyway, fans have vented their unhappiness on Twitter over tennis star Serena Williams’ being name as the Sports Illustrated Sports person of the Year. Some think American Pharaoh, the most popular horse in the world right now should have won the award. American Pharaoh is the first race horse to win a first triple crown in 37 years.
In a poll organized for the magazine’s readers, the horse came out tops for the SI award, hence the fans reactions after Serena was named the magazine’s Sports Person of the Year.

American Pharoah, who has proven himself the best U.S. Thoroughbred in recent memory has thrilled millions of people and likely accomplished something that we will not see repeated anytime soon.

Of course, a strong argument can be made for Serena as well — one that goes beyond the obvious points that the award is called the Sports Person of the year and only humans have won it since its inception in 1954. Williams won 53 of the 56 matches she played this year, including three of the four Grand Slam events, and held the No. 1 spot in the WTA rankings every week.

After losing out on the award to Serena, a funny meme was released showing American Pharaoh typing his reply to SI for not giving him the award.. LOL…see all of it below…
